What makes your club different to other coding and online clubs?Firstly teaching face to face in a class is proven to be more effective and interactive than online learning. During lockdown many of our students regressed in terms of social interaction and progress. Children thrive among the right learning environment and forming social confidence to foster meaningful friendships is essential later in life. The extra sessions will also provide a strong foundation for KS3 and KS4. Secondly we are not volunteers, we are a qualified teachers with QTS in a specialist subject with many students opting for GCSE Computer Science in fact, we are the largest Computing department in the local area. Similar clubs are often run by volunteers do not hold the experience, resources, qualification and the wealth of knowledge an experienced teachers can bring. We are also uniquely different in terms of covering all aspects of Computer Science which includes enhancing Digital Literacy, Information Technology and Computer Science following the KS2 curriculum in primary schools with a specialist computing teacher. This means that your child will have an advantage in Computer Science at KS3 and KS4 secondary school, one of the most fastest growing subjects but also one of the most challenging.
